Forest Outskirts Elf

San walked deeper into the forest until the sound of the river was just a faint sound in the air to her, but it would have gone quiet to ordinary Humans long ago. She stepped lightly through the forest, her bare feet making no sound. Her stomach felt like it was eating itself and the back of her throat burned as if someone put a hot poker down her throat. Her eyes were a deep crimson and her bubbly nature was lost in the hunger of being a Vampire. She had to remember to feed more than once ever couple weeks. Wasn't good for her.

Shaking her head slightly, she knelt in the forest as she just listened. Her ears twitched slightly, listening to the rustle of the leaves as the wind blew through them. . . Making some of the smaller trees dance. She heard paws on the soil and hooves, her red gaze falling on the area it was coming from. On her feet in an instant, she was off through the forest, silent as Death still. When she stopped, there was a herd of deer in front of her and she debated going after the big cat she heard but thought better of it.

She needed to feed now rather than later. Her eyes got sad for a moment as her Elven nature went against killing creatures, but she pushed it down as she took her bow off her back. Stringing an arrow, she brought it up so her fist holding the string lightly touched her cheek. Breathing in, she seemed to see the deer close up as if it was standing right in front of her when in reality it was just barely in the range of the arrow. As she breathed out, she let loose the arrow and heard the rest of the herd bolt in every direction.

Kana let out a startled cry as the herd she had been watching suddenly bolted in her direction. She turned around quickly and ran as fast as her tiny legs could take her. She stumbled a couple of times before finally losing her balance, and falling face first, the breath knocked out of her. She lay there for a moment, catching her breath before letting out a shriek and raising her arms in a defensive gesture.

San turned her crimson gaze towards where the shriek had come from. She was off and running before she could even think about her burning thirst. She startled the deer, making their legs go faster. Their hooves thundering against the ground. She found the source of the cry and scooped Kana up in her arms. She was a vampire, yes. But that did not mean she was a heartless killer. In fact, she was quite the opposite.

She set Kana down when she was a good distance from the herd and looked her over.
"Are you alright?" she asks, concerned.

(( I'm glad she isn't a goddess anymore in this forum. I missed my vampire elf. And my RPing is kinds rusty. Been too long. ))

As soon as Kana touched the ground, she scrambled back from the undead creature and threw her hands out in front of her. A flash of bright light erupted before Sanutamar's eyes, blinding any beast who hadn't shielded themselves before disappearing as quickly as it had appeared. Kana, now assured that she was safe, least for a time, stared at the woman before her, taking in everything from the weapons to the way she dressed. She waited for Sanutamar to make the first move.

San closed her eyes and staggered back when she saw the light. Her red eyes opened a bit. She didn't move for a moment, not sure what to make of the girl. "Are you okay?" she asks, a bit cautious this time. "Are you lost?" She knew the girl didn't like her. No one trusted a vampire, even if they were an Elven one.

San took her bow and quiver off, setting it on the ground. As well as her sword. She held her hands out, palms up in the universal peace gesture. She couldn't tell if she even knew English.

Kana watched silently as Sanutamar placed her weapons on the ground. After a moment, she pulled herself up to a standing position, "Just because you place the weapons on the ground doesn't leave you without weapons..." She whispered quietly, "You are still an undead..." her voice trailed off as she stepped back slowly.

A small light appeared in front of San, about chest height, where it hovered, humming with energy. Kana took a couple more steps back before doing a 180 and running off towards the castle.

San was a bit hurt, but there wasn't anything she could do. Vampires and undead had bad reputations. So people only knew them as heartless killing machines. She picked up her weapons and watched the girl run towards the castle. She had kind of lost her appetite. And whatever that light was gave her a bad feeling. She was afraid to move from her spot as she examined it. She slowly sat down and watched it.

Kana had slowed down as she realized she wasn't being chased. She looked back in the direction of the woman, and felt a little sympathetic towards her. She let go of the light that had kept Sanutamar from moving, and felt it dissipate into the air. She waited for a moment, before resuming her course towards the castle, wanting to get inside quickly now.

Aranenrae Celeésian has been walking for what seemed like months now. Tired, weary, and running low on hope, she finds a tree that puts out enough shade to sit under and collapses, her eyes soon following after. Her dark grey/blackish skin glistening in the sun spots, she entrenches her sword into the dirt as she slowly drifts asleep for a much needed rest. Her rest how ever was shortly ended as she is awoken by a stampeding herd of deer. Quick to rise and quick to draw her sword, she carefully watches through the trees. Her movement slowed, and her breath slows as she controls her heart beat, trying to be as stealthy and quiet as possible. She inches around the tree and waits to see what might have started the deer.
